Hikaru Nakamura went crazy listening to poor game analysis by Hans Niemann
- bombcar 4y agoHa I don't understand enough to understand what's happening.
- themodelplumber 4y agoI'm don't understand so much of the specific chess moves stuff here either, but in case a big-picture outline helps anybody: - The high-level chess player accused of cheating (Niemann, left side) is offering the gameplay moves they would make (white pieces). Many of them seem like obviously bad ideas to those observing. - The moves are made for him on the screen by another experienced chess player (grandmaster Firouzja, right side). And he also visibly reacts to some of Niemann's moves, like "why would you ever do that?" (4:13) - The right-side player then makes his moves, playing as black. - The streamer (grandmaster Nakamura, lower right corner) is also really surprised by both Niemann's moves and Niemann's commentary - The weaker player (Firouzja, right) starts to win the game The player accused of cheating, Niemann, then later refused to do this kind of analysis with someone else, in an awkward moment in which he summarized his thoughts with a line that sounds like something Donald Trump would say: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nmkz16Tjhvs https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nmkz16Tjhvs
