Had a job interview in an unfamiliar, boring[0] midwestern city. Drove over early the day before to see if I could stomach living there. Saw that Medeski, Martin and Wood were on a marquee for a show that night and did the responsible thing of not going to see them and getting a good night of sleep before the interview. I should've gone. [0] I'm from a rust belt city in the Midwest. This isn't some kind of outsider prejudice against "flyover country".
