It's still rather common for people running "blockchain" projects to completely misunderstand the both their project's requirements and what is provided by a blockchain. I can point to a couple of large public projects using blockchain so provide nothing more than a centralised DB. Disappointing but as an aside, both projects are failing (wildly over budget, wildly over time, and no realistic prospect of being completed in the current direction) :(
