The US shouldn't be subsidizing those jobs. What should be happening is that tariffs should be slapped on companies like Vestas that are basically government backed companies in order to even the playing field.

- missedthecue 4y agoWhy? If the Danish taxpayer is going to subsidize my country's wind infrastructure, why should I stop them?
- jimmydorry 4y agoYou get short-term subsidised infrastructure at the cost of cutting off all future local R&D and local manufacturing capacity. For a small country, this is probably worth it. For a global behemoth? Probably not. Like all things in life, there are trade-offs, and allowing the decimation of local capability on what should be of national concern (energy security) was short-sighted at best.
