The UK is speedrunning 1970-1990 here (different underlying causes, obviously)
- makomk 4y agoThings happening in the UK seems to get a lot of attention abroad, probably because we're an English-speaking country, but realistically speaking the more mild of the two scenarios here would likely involve severe power shortages on the European mainland and the more severe of the two a serious global energy crisis. Both of those things are at serious risk of happening this winter, which is why these contingency plans exist.
