Is there anything in the article indicating that this is some sort of conservative viewpoint or did you just decide to label it such because it seemed like an easy way for you to score a point?
I consider myself to be more right-leaning and "conservative" but neither I nor any other conservatives I know would support this. Typically, though not always, people on the right want to take away power from the government - not enhance it as this would do.
- NoraCodes 4y agoIt's Bari Weiss's publication, and she describes it, and herself, as conservative.
- CodeSgt 4y agoA publication having a political bias doesn't correlate to every product of that publication being one which broadly represents its political association. Nor can you in good faith generalize the ideas of a single person to be representative of all members of the political party that individual claims to be a part of.

- xboxnolifes 4y agoThis thinking is the exact reasoning I try to avoid any form of self labeling. Everyone else is going to assume since you share a label you must agree 100% with all opinions of another person of the same label. I'll add that every conservative in my life would be against this. It actually the kind of thing they hate most about the democratic party policies they complain about: government mandated. Does the topic of vaccine mandates ring a bell?
