The 6 pro is great on wifi or 4g. 5g kills the battery life and the modem heats up quickly which impacts the usability of the phone.
I like my 6pro. I do miss macro i had on a different phone, but if the modem is fixed then i would update right away.
- enragedcacti 4y agoThis is my biggest gripe about the 6 as well. Battery life with 5g is pretty bad and on top of that there are certain locations where the phone would switch between "5g" and "5g UC" multiple times per second which ends up being very distracting. I've just disabled 5G entirely and it results in a much better overall phone.
- benmccann 4y agoIt appears that it has been. However, it's still a Samsung and not a Qualcomm. Qualcomm was used on Pixel 5 and is used in most other smartphones on the market including iPhones.
