When Google talks about “safety” it means enforcing a very specific set of beliefs that frankly a large majority of people disagree with.* It isn’t impermissible for Google to do this, but nobody has to like it, or agree with it. *for instance, affirmative action is disapproved of by 70-80% of Americans and couldn’t win on a ballot in California in 2020 which is pretty exceptional.
