For web development you need a very, very good reason to use anything but Rails or Laravel. It got to the point where now I only work with companies who use Rails. I don’t even really like Ruby, but I eventually got fed up with wasting time reinventing the wheel over and over, using frameworks that provide only a fraction of what Rails does.
- dysoco 4y agoSadly this is shifting; at least in my country most companies are moving away from Rails/Django/Laravel towards Typescript and NodeJS for the sake of "scalability" and sharing language with the frontend.
