I graduated into a recession. It was fine. It never hurts to pay attention to the macro economy, but in the end, just live your life and pursue the career you want. Software development may eventually go the way of textile manufacturing (i.e. only done in poor countries with cheap, unskilled labor) but I doubt you or I will live long enough to see it.
