LED TV explodes killing teen in India
- ecpottinger 4y agoWhat in a LED can act like a high explosive?
- kazinator 4y agoOne possible answer: the explosive device it was sabotaged with.
- skbohra123 4y agoThat's the thing I am trying to digest, how's it possible?
- foxyv 4y agoThe answer is, nothing. Unless you put high explosive in it... > The videos put up post the blast show damaged furniture in the room where the television was kept and cracked walls as well as bloodstains. TVs don't explode, they just kind of burn. Even the CRTs just kind of popped and maybe threw a few pieces of glass. They certainly didn't crack the walls. Edit: Another possible explanation is a gas leak and a sparking capacitor or something.
- toomuchtodo 4y agoCapacitors or overvoltaging certain components.
- neuralRiot 4y agoI’ve blown plenty of capacitors in my life and never had one crack a wall, much less kill anyone! And i’m talking BIG caps.
- KeyXiote 4y agoThe information is so limited it's impossible to ascertain what even exploded, speculation is easy, ie: could have been a portable screen and had a lithium battery that exploded, was struck by debris after another object exploded etc. Haven't checked other sources for validity or updates.
