  By "automagics" he probably means the artificial intelligence bot which tries to guess which commits should be backported to the "stable" (in this case, 5.19.x with x other than 0) kernel, even though they have not been explicitly marked to be backported.     That's.. an interesting approach. I can understand why they want to have a bot help out but personally I'd feel very wary of a bot selecting commits to merge. In my completely uninformed opinion it sounds like there's process improvements that could be made alongside using the bot to point out interesting commits that can be reviewed by a human.
