OpenXuantie – OpenC910 Core
- sylware 4y agoI don't know what is the target of this risc-v implementation: - desktop performance - laptop performance - server performance - mobile performance All that to say, in any case, this is good. Oh, keep compilers for backward and legacy compatibility, but risc-v is made for assembly to rule (with probably some high-level scripts language interpreters written directly in assembly)
- RobotToaster 4y agoI think it's mostly general purpose. The single core version, the C906, is in a couple of boards that compete with the raspberry pi zero, to give you an idea of performance. It does have vector extensions, which is supposed to help with machine learning, but I've not seen them actually used.
- sylware 4y agoBoards which compete with raspberry zero? Really? Because that's really interesting, any pointers? That would be for a keyboard controller.
- RobotToaster 4y agoThis seems to be the main one https://mangopi.org/mqpro https://mangopi.org/mqpro
- sylware 4y agoLook at all those GPIOs, plus this is a 64bits RISC-V with a USB controller and USB-C connectors. This is completely overkill for a keyboard controller :) But, this EXISTS. Perfect for self-hosting an email server with ethernet-over-USB though... yummy.
