Why is that a worrying sign?
- bagels 4y agoDownward pressure on wages due to competition with non-coastal wage earners.
- nonameiguess 4y agoSeemingly, non-coastal wage earners are people and still count, and that isn't worrying to them.
- bullen 4y agoBecause if you live elsewhere the positions are not available?
- b20000 4y agoremote just means that you can work from home. you still need to be geographically close to the office.
- bullen 4y agoThat is the point, before most remote was global now they are local. The whole point with remote is the global part. That with the internet anyone can work with anything anywhere.
- b20000 4y agoit doesn’t matter you can work anywhere. companies understand remote as “within 100 miles”. do you really think you are going to be paid CA salaries while being in thailand? not likely to happen.
