Is it me, or is this whole shebang a perfect venue for a disruption by AI led voice mumble generator?
- jfengel 4y agoYeah, I suppose it is. It wouldn't be trivial, and a first draft of it would be very limited. Loop groups are acting, and even though it's not something people are supposed to pay attention to, it's the kind of thing that can make a scene feel wrong. There's a lot to take into account: time of day, emotion, venue, etc. It's not to say it's impossible. I suspect it'll be like a drum machine: the first ones aren't very good, but they serve, and eventually they take over a lot of jobs (but not all of them). Also, it would involve navigating the SAG union: loop actors are guild members. There are probably contracts with the studios. I don't know what they say but I am sure the lawyers do, in detail.
