He's doing better than your bank teller. Lots of jobs pay less than 55k, even in New York.
- jrockway 15y agoPresumably the bank tellers are W-2 and their employer pays payroll taxes, while this guy is paying his own payroll taxes. If you've ever done 1099 work, you'll know that the government takes pretty much all of your 1099 money.
