SQLite has a lot of rough edges. As amazing as it is, it would be better if the core devs were more open to outside world. I contributed a somewhat deep performance fix/workaround, it was one of the more terrible open source experiences. Hugely excited for libsql as an sqlite successor with a more modern architecture.
