I for one hate buying water when out, it always feels like something _wrong_ to do, because of the money (seems like money down the drain), the environment impact (albeit small) etc. I always try and bring a water bottle from home, and now I’ve gotten accustomed to carrying a 1,8 liter reusable bottle everywhere (if I’m with the car or have a backpack)

At our restaurants it is standard to always have a 12-20oz glass of water that is kept full*. When traveling in Austria, Hungary, and Slovakia , I found that you have to purchase water, and they bring you 8 ounces if you're lucky. I was dying of thirst half the time. What the hell?
