As much as advertising can suck, I highly prefer not having all news sites hard paywalled and not needing premium subscriptions for essential services like search, email and YouTube.
- bee_rider 4y agoeMail pre-dates the ad ecosystem; search is actually pretty nice but Google is slowly losing ground to SEO, a new paradigm might be necessary; and YouTube is basically bad.
