- ifyoubuildit 4y ago"Knowingly filing a false VAERS report is a violation of Federal law (18 U.S. Code § 1001) punishable by fine and imprisonment." (https://vaers.hhs.gov/reportevent.html https://vaers.hhs.gov/reportevent.html) Looks like up to 5 or 8 years imprisonment plus fines for doing so.
- junon 4y agoSure. It still happens. Are you going to follow up on each of the mountain of reports that are submitted?
- ifyoubuildit 4y agoMe? Of course not. But I'd imagine it's somebody's job to do some of that, especially if false reports are really an issue. On the flip side, are you going to do something that 1) has no clear benefit, and 2) has a (maybe small) chance of landing you in prison?
