- dmitriid 4y agoFor a while Google needed Mozilla (and Safari) to point at and say: see, competition. Now that they have Edge, they need neither. Because they can now pretend that Edge is something else but a glorified Chrome fork and follower. - xani_ 4y agoThey want to have puppet that makes it look like they're not a monopoly on the market. That doesn't really work if the puppet is so niche companies stop even supporting it
