I picked up a Carson MicroBrite Plus for the same purpose -- looking at clothes/newsprint/etc and it works pretty well. It claims to do 60-120x magnification. N

I picked up a Carson MicroBrite Plus for the same purpose -- looking at clothes/newsprint/etc and it works pretty well. It claims to do 60-120x magnification. No easy way to capture the images but it makes for a good toy.
Would be interested in a recommendation for something with higher magnification
- Eisenstein 4y agoYou can take a webcam (as long as it doesn't do auto-gain control or auto-focus) and stick it on the eyepiece to capture video/stills.
