Quarreled with Amazon over a return, afraid they now ship bad item in revenge
I tried to return a costly item to amazon. They made it almost impossible, procrastinating and deliberately delaying so I would miss the return window.
I finally managed to return the item and get a refund, but only after escalating and spending a week on chats and phonecalls.
I was so aggravated by it all that I deleted my amazon account.
My son has his own amazon account and plans to buy a smartphone. The problem is that we live in the same house, so even though his name, phone number and bank details are different, the house adress is the same.
Will amazon be able to link the house address to my (now deleted) account and the conflict they had with me?
If yes, could it be possible that my son would be targeted by amazon's "revenge" because of this, receiving a faulty/fake/hidden problems item?
I would not like my son to have problems with his purchase, only because I had a conflict with amazon and we happen to share the same house address?!
Any helpful suggestions? Should he buy the smartphone or is it too risky? Did anyone else face this kind of problem before?
Thanks in advance!
