  My point is, maybe, but at what cost? I like the other poster's analogy to transportation systems. While ambition should be encouraged, there's work to do, so much so when it comes to exploiting our new found software powers.

    yes, there's a lot of work to do. The cost is me, rolling up my sleeves, and adding entry points to the systems that I build to take advantage of it. I don't think people are just sitting around. From my observations, there's a mad race happening right now.
