They also aren't immediately being kicked out of their jobs, the work is just going to wind down over the next few months until January. This article is telling us that Stadia employees were given a 3+ month heads up that their division would close in January. Instead of letting that news leak in a way that Google couldn't control, it decided to make a press release after informing their workers. That's very humane in my book
