Covid may have pushed a leading seasonal flu strain to extinction
- bediger4000 4y agoThe original article title seems misleading: COVID didn't push an influenza variant to extinction. Public health practices pushed during the 2020-21 flu season due to the concurrent COVID pandemic did it. Masking, social distancing, hand washing and avoiding crowds made that particular flu season very light. This lines up with my personal experience, I haven't had even a head cold in maybe 3 years now. Why are certain political factions so opposed to public health measures? They seem to work.
