Bitcoin in crosshairs as EU goes after non-green crypto
- throwaway22032 4y agoLol. If the EU says I shouldn't do something that probably means I should. The interests of high level politicians are not aligned with mine.

- taolegal 4y agoHow about we go after all the useless politicians who virtue-signal and sanctimoniously condemn their opponents, meanwhile defunding nuclear, etc. & falling into a compromised geopolitical position where Europe is at the mercy of Russia? Give me a break with this "green" hubris. Bitcoin is literally designed to resist this & even in China where the most inhumane despotism is established, it's still available.
- ephbit 4y agoThe EU has Bitcoin in the crosshairs not because it uses dirty energy (just as almost every other thing humans on the planet currently do, since renewables only make up 20 % to date), but because Bitcoin gives people a means to evade the erosion of currencies such as the Euro.
- Proven 4y agoBitcoin sucks for any purpose, but Monero is also PoW. Which may be why they don't single out Monero in order to not reveal its about taxation and control as much as it is about climatism.
