The Golden Tearoom (1989) [video]
- tristor 4y agoThis was fascinating, but I don't think I have the necessary historical and cultural context to fully understand it. I'm curious why it got posted, other than for curiosity's sake itself. What's the message and meaning?
- razodactyl 4y agoIt looks like the point of this video is made at the end - all the focus is on extravagance and literal gold when the tea itself is the real gold.
- dave333 4y agoInteresting differences in philosophy - the tea as the real gold vs Japanese emphasis on the ceremony vs British emphasis on the company vs Americans who drink coffee at Starbucks.
