Will mortgages and markets stay afloat in Florida?
- jleyank 4y agoThis is like the flood-plane construction along the Mississippi - at some point, the insurers of last resort pull out or run out of money to rebuild. I thought private insurers keep leaving Florida, leaving state and federal agencies. At some point, that will start being a political problem. What then? Wish people luck?
- bombcar 4y agoYou can have a "you can't rebuild" insurance appear - where you get insurance on your property that will let you move and rebuild elsewhere, but once the structure is damaged, it will be torn down and left fallow. If done correctly and over time, you can move entire communities away from the danger.
