  Depends which country you are in. Regrettably, in Germany this is standard practice.

  I'd call the photo request a reasonable precaution in the context of hiring fraud. https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=32996457 https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=32996457 That would be incompatible with a blind audition but those are rare.
