Poll: What salary would you work for?
I'm analyzing some of the Ackwire data, and I'm looking for a larger response pool: what's a reasonable startup salary? I'm not including equity stake because while that's important, it's not immediately available to employees in most startups. These salaries are also limited to engineering positions.
If you're presently working for one, feel free to just select your salary. Otherwise, select the lowest one you'd be comfortable working for.
- makecheck 15y agoThe location matters; cost of living can make $100K look either really good or really bad.
- HedgeMage 15y agoIt's not just location: Telecommuting makes a huge difference: less child care, less gas, no unpaid commute time, etc. Benefits: Is work paying for my gym? How good is the health insurance? How much vacation do I get? Is work keeping me stocked with tech books and sending me to conferences as needed, or is that on my own tab?
- dylangs1030 15y agoI will be taking into account all those factors, and equity offered too, but this was just a poll of raw salary data.
- kgc 15y agoI just selected my salary, and I feel spoiled.
- zachrose 15y agoI would like a wider range of options. If the work was exciting enough, I'd work for food and board.
- ww520 15y agoIs there a reason the salary ranges are low? Is it for entry level position?
- dylangs1030 15y agoNo, to be honest, this is what I have to work with on AckWire. Would you like me to edit in more choices?
