What a lame Ass company. Seriously. I hope it goes offline.
Their developers portal and open source toys are cool though.
Between 2009-2010.
1. When all my high school friends joined. I created an account and added people. I had about 10 people on there.
Then Facebook decided that I had to pay for those 10 people to see my post, there pop-ups requesting money.
At some point. My post wasn’t reaching people. I would login and nothing was update. But on my friend device, he had just posted it.
We all just went back to texting and paying for data. Back when Moblie companies in the USA charge people by MBs and we couldn’t stream continuously. Basically we all didn’t have smart phones yet. So it was a pain to share stuff digitally, and Facebook just worked.
I think Facebook was doing an experiment to see how they could generate revenue and use their algorithms to manipulate us.
Regardless; they lost people that year, the sample of manipulation of the feed was random. These where 16-18 year olds post not reaching their peers. Can you imagine posting something and non of your friends see it, until Facebook decides when to show it ???? SMH.
Again. In 2017.
2. I tried again to create an account again in 2017 in college for a project to add people.
Facebook requested I upload my government ID to verify, it was me. Wtf seriously? Why would anyone do that.
Let’s just say, we found alternatives other than Facebook to share polls, ideas and projects.
At young age. Facebook seriously started manipulating people’s feeds, it’s probably worst now for people who didn’t escape due to machine learning. Lord God. Save those people.
