I'm using Lua for a game right now (sdwr.itch.io/underlod), and it's grown on me significantly. Using tables is a bit clunky, but the flexibility is insanely powerful.
The codebase I'm using has multiple inheritance, and it's implemented right out in the open, in 40 lines of code using metatables. Been dabbling with runtime function binding as well.
