The mix on "Taste the Floor"[1] is so crazy—the guitar is so loud it begs you to turn up the volume to "hurt your ears" levels (phone/laptop speakers will not do this justice). I swear I've lost hearing due to my love of shoegaze… A more recent version of this kind of noise rock is The Raveonettes [2].
