I really like Lua, but it is not so practical in my daily work. I have two strange loves from an earlier life; Lua and Prolog (actually Mercury), but not sure how to make living with either of them. I tried with Lua and made a game/app services company with it and it went well, however around that time (2011 or so), companies here started to worry about ‘the stack’ and did not want weird things they never heard of (which is very understandable). So it worked for smaller clients who wanted solutions but not for bigger who wanted solutions that were maintainable for anyone.
