On Device Network Logging for iOS
- Nextgrid 4y agoI like the pattern of having a separate "Configurator" app that can be used to configure and access debug data from the main app.

- geekrax 4y ago> iOS has a few on device proxies, but they are very costly for teams. I'd suggest looking into Proxyman. The iOS app is free for basic features that would be sufficient for most of the users. The macOS app is also very intuitive (also free for basic features) to set up the SSL proxy. It's also very user friendly for non-developers (I use it all the time with my non-technical support team). Note: I'm not affiliated with Proxyman, I'm just a big fan/user of the product and respect what the indie dev has built!
- cellularmitosis 4y agoNote that there's an iOS Simulator bug which causes Proxyman to not see all of the traffic, but only for iOS 15 and 16 simulators. Using an iOS 14 simulator is a work-around until Apple fixes this.
- WirelessGigabit 4y agoI forgot how I did it, but I basically tried to inspect some traffic for some app. Imported the certificate and all info iOS. Didn’t work, app was using some pinned cert. fml.
