VSCode is open source, that's why they're basing their IDE on it. Writing a plugin would limit them to the wishes of Microsoft.

- seba_dos1 4y agoThey're not basing their IDE on VSCode, but Eclipse Theia, which is somewhat based on VSCode, but it's not VSCode.
