I was told this by a GP who had Type 1 himself. I very occasionally do this with Novorapid into my shoulder muscle (one needs a longer than usual needle for this) to drop a high blood glucose fast, for example after a failed infusion site at night. It does feel weird, but it does work. (This is not medical advice! This is dangerous! Ask your doctor!)
