My favorite stove is the MSR Whisperlite. It can burn pretty much anything. It works well from simmering to searing. It's extremely easy to field-clean. My favorite feature is that it has a needle attached to a weight inside the burner head; to clean gunk out of the tip, usually all you need to do is shake it! If that doesn't do the trick, you can disassemble it in 3 minutes. It was made with gloved hands in mind, with a huge throttle dial that's easy to adjust. Plus MSR is an excellent company and has a stellar warranty. If your gear looks at you the wrong way, they replace it no questions asked.
