This one has been a show-stopper for many folks trying to upgrade to MV3: https://bugs.chromium.org/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=1271154 https://bugs.chromium.org/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=127115... It's been marked as fixed, though only "for the moment". There's a somewhat similar MV2 issue: https://bugs.chromium.org/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=1316588 https://bugs.chromium.org/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=131658.... Both have been active for a while.
