It seems a little weird that billions of dollars of damage will probably be done to the state, and yet their senior leadership will probably still actively deny the negative impacts of a changing climate. It makes some amount of sense if you're power is actually going to be heightened by climate disaster (like Russia with the defrosting of Siberia), but Florida seems like it could literally be destroyed in the coming decades and still makes no actions to protect themselves
