- triceratops 4y ago> frankly just walk around SF or Portland Have you considered that you only notice the addicts and mentally ill? Because they don't give a shit about being seen as homeless. Everyone else is probably trying to keep up appearances by hanging out in libraries or coffee shops during the day.
- Ancapistani 4y ago... and the people who do that are not the reason this is widely seen as a problem. They're also very unlikely to remain homeless for long periods.
- triceratops 4y agoWhy do they ever become homeless at all?
- colinmhayes 4y agoMost homeless are effectively hiding from you. The ones you see are the ones who don't care about being seen, the mental/addicted.
- bombcar 4y agoTruth be told those are the only ones people complain about. If SF was filled to the brim with disguised homeless nobody would care.
- colinmhayes 4y agoWhich is why > If that doesn't work, then they become a ward of the state and treated as a child.
