iOS 16 Feature for Bypassing CAPTCHAs Will Soon Work with Many More Websites
- paxys 4y agoYet another wall erected in the middle of the open web. Very soon if you're not an approved user on an Apple or Google device browsing an approved company's website on an approved AWS server through an approved Cloudflare proxy there will be no access for you.
- lp0_on_fire 4y agoAgreed. On top of that it's just going to make CAPTCHAs even more user-hostile once the people behind them realize they have to now filter out Apple's algorithm. I somehow doubt they'll just read a user agent and adjust the difficulty accordingly.
- simongr3dal 4y agoThe CAPTCHA makers won't be filtering it out, they literally have to build support into their CAPTCHAs in order for the "Automatic Verification" feature to work.
- lern_too_spel 4y agoThis is the end of third party browsers unless platform vendors are required to make a process to approve them for verification.
