So... a whole new set of "reusable" components that must be vetted & audited? Why should these be trusted? Why should these be adopted and integrated into a tea

So... a whole new set of "reusable" components that must be vetted & audited? Why should these be trusted? Why should these be adopted and integrated into a team's ecosystem instead of their own work? I have a hard time seeing the true utility of this collection.
