I have a theory that (at least) part of the reason this is seen more predominantly in vaccine recipients has to do with the original strain. The original strain was a different beast (I saw several severe cases at the hospital early on) and did not spread particularly far. All the vaccines are based on it, even the new ones retain it. It would be interesting to see a list of common symptoms related to menstrual cycles in original covid patients vs whatever the current/previous strain show.
