Good or bad, I thought the pandemic was going to change the world a lot, changing the whole economy, city and how people live. I have imagined people moving out of city, work remotely, more space available because you don't need an office, housing price drop because people moving out of city. But no, nothing changed except a lot people lost money and a few made a lot money.
- faeriechangling 4y agoI’ve seen the work remotely part stay true and I feel like 5 day a week commutes for white collar workers will go extinct. It’s just too wasteful of an institution to perpetuate itself forever.
- powerapple 4y agoThe trend is there, but the progress is not good enough. US is ahead of everyone else on this. The real need for this to happen is in developing world. Imaging they don't have to build expensive cities, people can save time commuting, they don't have to do something and correct it in the future, how much resources are going to save.
