What’s the difference ?
- mwint 4y agoOne decimates American savings accounts, one doesn’t.

- yellowapple 4y agoWell, if the dollar is indeed surging, I would expect my cost of living (which is denominated in dollars) to be going down instead of up. Instead, the opposite is happening.
- ryan_lane 4y agoThe dollar being strong is a matter of it being strong in terms of other currencies. If you go on vacation out of the country, your costs would indeed be lower. The dollar being strong doesn't really change a lot of what you spend money on, because a large percentage of it is locally produced. In terms of goods that are locally produced, but primarily made from foreign components, the company pockets the difference, and charges you the same.
