- TN1ck 4y agoDefinitely one of the best apples for baking as it's very acidic. I'm always disappointed when I eat an apple pie that lacks in acidity, actually surprised by this list as it includes mostly very sweet apples which result in a non surprising low rating. One can always add some lemon juice if one is forced to bake an apple pie with substandard apples at hand, works quite well.
