Which reminds me - a good way I like to check what the tech-iness of a city is to look at these stats, search for it in quora/reddit/hnsearch and take a look at the number of hits.
Caveats: Our site is currently tailored towards the US and Canadian markets and generally gets posted to HN during US waking hours.

- gridspy 15y agoDoes FeeFighters work outside of the United States? FeeFighters is able to help businesses in the United States and Canada. (Puerto Rico, US Virgin Islands, Guam and US Commonwealths are excluded, sorry!) Does that skew your visitors towards USA? Totally. I'm from New Zealand. I've learnt not to click on links to payment processors or risk disappointment.
- mmahemoff 15y agoOr it's also possible their stats are skewed in the direction of non-US people desperate for a sane payment system. But yeah, major risk of bias one way or the other.
- lsb 15y agoThat drilling down within the US doesn't stem to metro area! SFBay: 12% (8.6% SF + 2% MV + 1.4% PA) NYC: 8.8% Chicago: 4.6% BOS: 2.8% (1.5% Bos + 1.3% Camb) Seattle: 2.5% Austin: 2% LA: 2% Portland: 1.3%
- nl 15y agoAs others have noted, fee fighters isn't good proxy for international traffic. I've seen the posts about it but never clicked through because it is irrelevent to me (from Australia)
