Samsung phones are blowing up – here's why
- fiat_fandango 4y agoAnecdotally I've had this happen with both of my old iPhone 3G's and an iPhone 4. Fortunately, I managed to rummage through the junk drawer in my home to find these before anything bad happened. Tbh, I'm surprised keeping Li-Ion devices in fireproof boxes isn't more common - my brother does this with all of his drone equipment, ironic we don't do this with other consumer electronics.
- lizardactivist 4y agoNo they're not. And the last time the Samsung battery scare play was attempted, it was verified to be forty or fifty phones, out of several millions sold.
- sss111 4y agodid you even watch the video?
- z9znz 4y agoSo you watched the video, and you don't find it odd that in his uniform safe storage environment, MANY of his older Samsung phones had swollen batteries even though his other non-Samsung phones did not? This guy, "Mrwhosetheboss" is not some half-bit youtuber. Furthermore, he checks in with other experienced and knowledgeable (and quite famous) Youtubers who review and teardown electronics. They've got similar stories.
